Product Care Guide

Caring for Fine Bone China and Handprinted Linen

To ensure your fine bone china and handprinted linen remain in excellent condition,
we have created this straightforward care guide.

Linen Care

For laundry, we suggest washing our linen products at a temperature of 30 degrees
Celsius, either by hand or in a washing machine.

To maintain the quality of our linen home accessories, air drying them on a line is
preferable to using a tumble dryer.

An interesting tip: adding a few drops of tea tree essential oil to your wash can
refresh your laundry while also helping to repel bacteria.

Bone China Care

To keep your mugs looking pristine, we advise hand washing them shortly after use,
using a gentle cloth without scouring pads or harsh detergents.

To prevent discolouration, soaking the china in warm water prior to washing can be
beneficial.

For stubborn stains, consider the following options:

  • Using bicarbonate of soda

  • Soaking the item with a slice of lemon in boiled water

Alternatively, you can create a cleaning solution by:

  • Combining 1 tablespoon of baking soda with 1/2 cup each of white vinegar and warm water

  • Pouring this mixture into your mug, ensuring that it covers the stained area

  • Allowing it to soak for at least 2 hours before giving it a gentle scrub

Our mugs are also dishwasher-safe at a temperature of 40ºC, but it’s important to:

  • Select the ‘gentle,’ ‘short wash,’ or ‘china and crystal’ cycle

  • Use a mild detergent

Dishcloths

For cleaning your dishcloths, simply place them in the dishwasher with your regular
load for an effective clean.

Wax Food Covers

Avoid using detergent or exposing the wax food covers to heat, as this can strip the
natural beeswax.

A simple wipe with a damp cloth will suffice for cleaning.

By following these care instructions, you can enjoy your fine bone china and
handprinted linen for many years to come.
